He is doing, then why Shouldn’t I ?

I have been in Qatar for the last 1 year. I will tell two stories that happened today.
First Story
Today morning I was going to the bank with my colleague. He entered the car and threw a tea cup outside on the road. I requested him to take it and put it in a waste bin while going. He didn’t listen. I took it back. On the way, I threw it in a dustbin (there are many bins here on the roadside). Then he said our other colleague also does the same.
Second Story
As shown in the picture: It is written in almost all Qatar mosques that ‘DO NOT USE FOOTWEAR IN STAIR AREA’. But in every mosque here, many people leave their footwear on the stairs. After ablution, when we walk to the first floor, dust gets on the legs of others who follow the rule. People forget that mosques are the ‘House of God’. Today, a few hours before (07:20 PM), when I saw one guy walking on the stairs and leaving his shoes there, I just showed him the poster (didn’t say anything). He said others also do the same!!!!
What’s Wrong with Us?
This is our problem. When others say something good that doesn’t require any effort, their reply depends on others’ actions.
REALISE GUYS, each individual is a society. First you stop doing it; automatically it will make a change in society. Just understand and follow it. I’m not trying to improve my image through this post. I don’t like to advise anyone, but it is so sad to see all these activities. Please, it’s a request from the heart.
Updates
When I raised this issue in a Qatar forum, one user commented on two other issues. I also noticed this here. One is a religious issue that I am not mentioning here, but you can read it in the blog comments.
The other one is eating or drinking food in public buses in Qatar. It’s okay in this busy life, but please don’t leave food covers or bottles in the bus. When you get down, take them and put them in a roadside waste bin. For a small act, the reward from God might be bigger.

Updates (04-March-15)
The day I posted this blog until now, my colleague (case 1) talks about this. He wants to remove this topic. I told him that I didn’t mention his name in the post. Then he said he will continue throwing the cup on the road. So I informed him that I will mention his name and photo here (I purposefully took the photo today) 😀
